For Betzábe González, life is a balancing act. In 2023, she launched her eponymous luxury footwear brand, Betzábe. 
 
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Ms. González developed an appreciation for the heritage of her local community at a young age. As a child, she was introduced to the trade of shoemaking, discovering her passion for design and craſt. She moved to the United States at the age of six, and in 2003, she married her high school sweetheart, Adrian González, who was beginning a career as a professional baseball player.
 
Sports run through her life with her husband and her girls. If Ms. González is not taking one of her daughters to their flag football games, golf practice, or volleyball, she is coaching their basketball team. Sports will forever inspire her designs, as one can see in the details: color blocking, team graphic design, contrast stitching, and an homage to the LA Dodgers’ blue and white stripes.
 
Form and function, comfort and versatility, for the Betzábe woman, life is always a balancing act.
 
Ms. González graduated from American Intercontinental University with a master of business administration. She later attended the Arsutoria School in Milan, one of the world's preeminent footwear and handbag design institutes, where she studied footwear theory, shoemaking, and collection design.
