Michelle Marshall serves as the inaugural Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Impact at Puma North America, where she orchestrates all aspects of diversity strategy including internal and external initiatives, external partnerships, and diverse talent recruitment. She also oversees the REFORM team, Puma’s social justice platform, which fosters partnerships with organizations focusing on racial equity, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ rights such as the Trayvon Martin Foundation, Shawn Carter Foundation, ACLU, and Trevor Project.
 
Ms. Marshall was instrumental in launching a partnership with Clark Atlanta University, which included a commitment of $1M in scholarships with a focus on career prep and mentorship to build awareness and access to careers in the sneaker industry. She also recently assumed leadership of social impact strategy for Puma North America, tasked with streamlining processes, tracking impact, and enhancing awareness of Puma’s philanthropic endeavors.
 
Prior to joining Puma, she was Senior Director of Women’s Leadership Initiatives at The United Way of Greater Atlanta. Earlier, she spent 11 years at Nationwide Insurance, where she held a variety of roles in claims, underwriting, sales, and operations.
 
Ms. Marshall is on the board of trustees for the HBCU Lane College; a board member of the National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter, RISE, and Silence the Shame; and serves on the Retail Industry Leaders Association diversity and inclusion leaders council.
 
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Middle Tennessee State University and a master of business administration degree from Bethel University. Additionally, she obtained a women in leadership certificate from Kennesaw State University and a mastering talent management certification from Wharton Business School.
