Speaker Bio
Scott Schaefer is Chief Executive Officer at Zappos.com, the leading experiential e-commerce and customer service company. In his role, Mr. Schaefer oversees over 1,400 employees, spanning across the United States. His passion lies in collaborating on new ways to drive innovative solutions and experimenting with creative opportunities to deliver “WOW” to employees, customers, and brands - that keep them coming back for more!
Prior to his current role, Mr. Schaefer, an experienced leader of finance and operations in the retail/e-commerce space, held the position of Zappos Vice President of Finance, which was preceded by multiple financial positions at the company throughout the course of his 14-year tenure. He is well known at the culture-focused company as being an enthusiastic and passionate leader, who embraces the 10 Core Values that define the brand and its fun (and a little weird!) employees.
A graduate of University of the Pacific, he previously held finance-related roles at both Davenport Wealth Management and Ernst & Young early in his career.
In his free time, Mr. Schaefer loves spending time with his wife and three muggle children, dreaming of ways in which to one day break into the Potter-sphere. A man of his craft, he’s also a passionate sneakerhead.
